About analyzing Clickstreams
- Clickstreams are a record of the participant paths (the URLs they visited) during a Navigation task.

They allow you to visualize and analyze:
- Paths participants follow to complete a task
- Percentages that followed a certain path

Final status
- Basic Usability Tests (Unmoderated): success or abandon
- Advanced UX Research: success, error, abandon, or timeout

Find this information in a Clickstream:
- URLs
- Javascript
- Page titles
- You can customize data to display in a Clickstream in the Logmanager.
- When Clickstreams load slowly, you can simplify the data.
- Pro Tip: Right click on a URL in the clickstream to view a heatmap.
Generate a Clickstream
- Go to the Results section of your project.
- Click Clicks & Paths
.
- Select the task from the drop-down.
Simplify Clickstreams
If your Clickstream takes a while to load or is really extensive, simplify your results using these tips:
Hide insignificant paths
- Click Customize.
- Select Hide Paths.
- Hide paths taken by 7% of the participants or less. The option is set to 3% by default.
- Click Apply.
Hide domains not relevant to your analysis
This hides ads, personal email, social media, etc.
- Click Logmanager
.
- In the overlay window that appears, click Hide domains
.
- Select the domains you want to hide.
- Click Done.
Show URLs only
The default is to show URLs + JavaScript Functions
- Click Logmanager
.
- In the overlay window that appears, click Logfile Structure
.
- Select URL only.
- Click Apply.
