About app tags in the Mobile Apps Library

Add a tag to an app

  • A single Tag with the Start Method “Start App” is created by default in every App.
  • This Tag can't be deleted.
  • Tags won't trigger a study unless you associate a study/segment with it and both the study and segment are live.

To add a tag to an app, follow these steps:

  1. Click your Username in the top right corner.
  2. Select Account Settings.
  3. In the menu on the left, under Account Features, select Mobile Apps Library.
  4. If you haven't already added an app to the Mobile Apps Library, follow these steps
  5. After the app is added, click Add Tag add_tag_button.jpg at the top right.
  6. In the Add Tag window, enter the following information:
    • Tag Name
    • Description (Optional)
    • Study Assigned (Must be completed later):
    • Segment (Must be completed later):
    • Start Method (Must be completed later):
      • At a specific section of the app
      • Invitation Link
    • Intercept delay: 0 to 20 seconds
    • Rate:
      • 100% (Everybody)
      • 75% (High)
      • 50% (Medium)
      • 25% (Low)
      • 10% (Quite Low)
      • 5% (Very Low)
      • 4% (Very Low)
      • 3% (Very Low)
      • 2% (Very Low)
      • 1% (Very Low)
      • Disable Popup
  7. Click Save.

Associate a tag to a study and segment

  • Each segment can be associated with only one Tag.
  • If the drop-down to select a segment says "No segment available", create a new segment in your study or unassign the segment from another app tag.
  • For At a specific section of the app tags to work:
    • The Start App tag needs to be associated with a study but doesn't necessarily need a segment assigned.
    • This does absolutely nothing (since no segment is associated) and is just for technical reasons.

To associate a tag to a study and segment, follow these steps:

  1. Click your Username in the top right corner.
  2. Select Account Settings.
  3. In the menu on the left, under Account Features, select Mobile Apps Library.

  6. In the Edit Tag window, configure the following:
