View and manage video transcripts

Use these steps to view and manage video transcripts.

Plan Availability: Team, Corporate, Essentials, Professional, and Premium

About video transcripts

  • Video transcripts are the text version of what is said in the participant video recordings.
  • They are automatically generated for all videos with audio and are available shortly after the video is generated.
  • Transcripts auto-scroll as the video is playing.
  • A pointer shows you the current sentence.
  • You can manually scroll through the transcript and then resume auto-scrolling by clicking Resume Transcript Auto-Scroll.
  • Transcript language is the same as the language selected for the study.
  • Video transcripts in English and Spanish are available for all videos recorded after January 31, 2019.
  • Transcripts are available for the following languages after April 21, 2022:
    • Arabic
    • Brazilian Portuguese
    • Danish
    • Dutch
    • English
    • French
    • German
    • Indonesian
    • Italian
    • Korean
    • Russian
    • Spanish
    • Turkish

 

 

View video transcripts

  1. Go to the Results section of your study.
  2. Select Videos videos_button.jpg in the left menu.
  3. Find the video in the list.
  4. Click Play play_clip_button.jpg to open the video.
  5. In the Video Player, go to the Transcript tab on the right.

Download video transcripts

Individual transcript

  1. Go to the Results section of your study.
  2. Select Videos videos_button.jpg in the left menu.
  3. Find the video in the list.
  4. Check the box next to the Play icon box_next_to_play_icon.jpg.
  5. In the pop-up that appears, click Download transcript.

Multiple transcripts

  1. Go to the Results section of your study.
  2. Select Videos videos_button.jpg in the left menu.
  3. Find the video in the list.
  4. Check the boxes next to each of the Play icons.

  5. In the pop-up that appears, click Download transcripts.download_multiple_transcripts.jpg

 

 

Copy text from a video transcript

  1. Go to the Results section of your study.
  2. Select Videos videos_button.jpg in the left menu.
  3. Choose the video from the list.
  4. Click Play play_clip_button.jpg.
  5. In the Video Player, go to the Transcript tab on the right.

  6. Scroll to the text you want to copy.
  7. Click and drag to highlight the text then release.
  8. In the options that appear, click Copy Text.

 

 

Edit a transcript

  1. Go to the Results section of your study.
  2. Select Videos videos_button.jpg in the left menu.
  3. Choose the video from the list.
  4. Click Play play_clip_button.jpg.
  5. In the Video Player, go to the Transcript tab on the right.

  6. Click Edit Transcript at the bottom of the window.
  7. Click on the text you'd like to edit.
  8. Make your changes.
  9. Click Save Changes.

 

Revert your changes

  1. Go to the Results section of your study.
  2. Select Videos videos_button.jpg in the left menu.
  3. Choose the video from the list.
  4. Click Play play_clip_button.jpg.
  5. In the Video Player, go to the Transcript tab on the right.

  6. Click Edit Transcript at the bottom of the window.
  7. Find the text that you've already edited.
  8. Click Revert to original revert_to_original.jpg.
  9. Click Save Changes.
