Add an image to a Click Test
- Go to the Study Builder tab of your study.
- Select Study in the left menu.
- Choose the Click Test task or edit an existing Screenshot Click Testing question.
- Scroll to Settings.
- Click Add Image .
- In the modal window you can:
- Choose an image from the multimedia center.
- Upload a new image.
- Click Save.
Add success areas to a Click Test
- Defining areas on the image allows you to see the number of clicks for each area.
- Success areas allow you to measure the effectiveness of participants.
- For information on effectiveness in Click Tests, refer to this article.
To add success areas to a Click Test, follow these steps:
- Go to the Study Builder tab of your study.
- Select Study in the left menu.
- Choose the Click Test task or edit an existing Screenshot Click Testing question.
- Scroll to Areas.
- Enter a name in the are boxes (A1 - A6).
- Click Select Area to define the area.
- Click and drag to make a box around the area in the image.
- Click Save.
- (optional) Mark the Success box to make this an area of success.
- Click Save.
Modify a selected area
In the Select Area window, you can:
- Switch between areas using the Select areas for answer dropdown .
- Delete all success areas using the Delete All Areas button .
Set the number of clicks
- Go to the Study Builder tab of your study.
- Select Study in the left menu.
- Choose the Click Test task or edit an existing Screenshot Click Testing question.
- Scroll to Mandatory Options.
- Choose Mandatory to do .
- In the first drop-down, choose:
- at least
- at most
- exactly
- In the second drop-down, choose between 1 and 10 to define the number of clicks.
- Click Save.
Show clicks to participants
- Go to the Study Builder tab of your study.
- Select Study in the left menu.
- Choose the Click Test task or edit an existing Screenshot Click Testing question.
- In the task or question, scroll to Settings > Other Options.
- Check Show clicks on the image .
- Choose the Size for the click to display:
- Small
- Normal
- Large
- Select the Color for the click to display:
- Use the color picker
OR - Enter the hexadecimal color code
- Use the color picker
- Check Show click number to allow participants to see the number of clicks made when multiple clicks are allowed for the task or question.
- Click Save.
Other settings
- Add a description.
- Make the task/question optional or mandatory.
- Enable/disable auto-next.
- Change the taskbar position.
- Add a start task button.
- Add a Skip (I Don't Know) button.
- Pipe the answer into another question.
- Customize the exporting variable name of the task.
- Add a questionnaire before and/or after the task.
