About randomizing pages and questions
- Randomize pages in a questionnaire and questions on a page to:
- Show pages and/or questions in different order to eliminate the order bias.
- Assign a few pages and/or questions to each participant to limit study length and make sure the study is completed.
- Unlike task randomization, question and page randomization is not auto-balanced and is completely random. This causes some questions to get more answers than others.
-
Randomization when adding new questions or pages:
- Adding new questions/pages or reordering the existing ones resets randomization settings.
- Make these changes to your questionnaire before applying randomization.
- Combining logic and conditions with randomization can cause unexpected behaviors in the flow of your study.

- Select the task/questionnaire.
- Click Randomize Pages at the top right above all the pages (only available when there are two or more pages on the questionnaire).
