Add an image to a question

Use these steps to add an image to a question.

Why add an image to a question?

 

 

Add an image to question text

  1. Go to the Study Builder section of your study.
  2. In the left menu, select the question you'd like to add the image to.
  3. Hover over the question to bring up the options icons. question_options_icons_hover.jpg
  4. Click Edit Question edit_question_icon.jpg.
  5. In the Question Text box, select Add Image add_image_button_question_text.jpg.
  6. Choose one of the following options:
  7. Optional: After selecting the image, you can crop it. 
  8. Click Save.

Pro Tip: You can also change the image display size.

 

 

Add an image as a thumbnail

  1. Go to the Study Builder section of your study.
  2. In the left menu, select the question you'd like to add the image to.
  3. Hover over the question to bring up the options icons question_options_icons_hover.jpg.
  4. Click Edit Question edit_question_icon.jpg.
  5. Select the Multimedia tab.
  6. In the Multimedia Layout dropdown, select Thumbnails multimedia_layout_thumbnails.jpg.
  7. In the Introductory Text box, add:
    • A description of the image(s).
    • Instructions
    • Any other relevant information.
  8.  Scroll down and click Add Image add_image_button.jpg.
  9. Optional: After selecting the image, you can crop it.
  10. Configure these optional settings, if needed:
    • File Name: Edit the name of the image.
    • Image Title (Optional): Double-click to give the image a title.
    • Delete All: 
      1. Click Delete All to remove all images. For security, a confirmation message will display on the screen.
      2. Click Delete to proceed with the deletion of the images.
    • Delete: Click the Trash Can icon to remove an image.
    • Order: Choose the order to display the images. Orders available are:
      • Inserted: Images are displayed in the same order as they were added to the list.
      • Randomly: Images display randomly regardless of how they were added.
    • Size: 
      • Select the size for the thumbnail images. 
      • Thumbnail sizes available are:
        • Small
        • Medium
        • Large
    • Image View: Select how the image displays when viewing it as a thumbnail. Image views available are:
      • Resize: 
        • The image gets resized, constraining proportions, so that the whole image fits in the thumbnail area.
        • If the thumbnail width or height is larger than the image width or height, the area is displayed blank.
      • Crop: The image gets resized and cropped so it fills the whole width and height of the thumbnail area.
    • Zoom Effect: The size of the image when you click on the thumbnail. Zoom effects available are:
      • Fit to Screen: The image displays as big as the screen size.
      • Original Size: The image displays in the uploaded (original) size.
  11. Click Save.

 

 

Add images to tabs

  • Upload two images to compare two different designs (A/B testing) and gather feedback based on the answers given.
  • Participants can move between the question and images using the tabs.

To add images to tabs, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Study Builder section of your study.
  2. In the left menu, select the question you'd like to add the image to.
  3. Hover over the question to bring up the options icons question_options_icons_hover.jpg.
  4. Click Edit Question edit_question_icon.jpg.
  5. Select the Multimedia tab.
  6. In the Multimedia Layout dropdown, select Tabs multimedia_layout_tabs.jpg.
  7. To add a label to display at the top of each tab, enter a name to the tab in the Tab Label box tab_label_box.jpg.
  8. Add a description of the image in the Description and multimedia box.
  9. In the Description and multimedia box, click Add Image add_image_button_question_text.jpg.
  10. In the Add Image window, you can:
  11. Optional: After selecting the image, you can crop it.
  12. Click Save.
