AI Reports Summary

Learn how the AI-Generated Report Summary automatically creates and updates report summaries when reports are published, imported, or edited in UserTesting.

About AI Report Summary

  • Note: This feature is available only to members who have access to Insights Hub and AI features. Customers who have opted out of Gen-AI will not be able to use this feature.

  • The AI-Generated Report Summary automatically creates a summary of your report once you publish it—whether you share it within your workspace or via a public link.

    Report Summary

  • After you finish creating your report, you will automatically receive an AI-generated summary once the report is published (shared to your workspace or made available via a public link).
  • Historical published reports that were already public before this feature was released will now have summaries automatically.

 

Creating a report

  1. Go to Reports
    From your dashboard, navigate to the Reports page.
  2. Click Create report and complete your content.


     
  3. When you’re ready, click Share and change the visibility from Private to Workspace or Anyone with the link.


     
  4. Once published, the AI-generated summary will appear on the right side of your report.



     
  5. You can also import an external report into UserTesting and have it summarized instantly.
    Supported file types: ODT, MD, PDF, DOCX, PPTX, ODP.

 

 

Importing a report

  1. Go to Reports
    From your dashboard, navigate to the Reports page.
  2. Click Import report.


     
  3. Once the import is complete, open the report from the Reports page.
  4. An AI-generated summary will appear on the right side of your report.



    Note: Summaries can only be generated for reports that contain at least 140 words. Reports with fewer than 140 words will prompt you to add more content before a summary can be generated.

    The report summary will always be in English, regardless of the language used in the report.


 

Regenerating a summary after editing

  1. Go to Reports and open any of your reports.
  2. Edit your report content as needed.
  3. After 5 minutes of ongoing editing, the system will detect that the summary is out of sync and display a banner prompting you to regenerate it.
