About Sample Quality Control
- The Sample Quality Control feature for Advanced UX Research studies applies to Navigation tasks.
- When enabled, participants who did not spend a certain time or perform a minimum of clicks in one or multiple Navigation tasks are excluded from the sample.
- When conditions or logic are applied to your tasks, this may cause participants to be marked as speeders or cheaters incorrectly.
Sample Quality Control options
Enable speeders control
- Automatically exclude participants who do not spend enough time taking a navigation task.
-
For example, exclude participants who spend less than 5 seconds on 2 out of 3 tasks
- In the example, there are 3 tasks.
- If a participant spends 2 seconds on the first task, 3 seconds on the second one, and 15 seconds on the third one, they are considered as speeder because they spent less than 5 seconds on two of the tasks.
Enable cheaters control
-
Automatically exclude participants who do not make enough clicks while taking a Navigation task.
For example, exclude participants that do less than 2 clicks in 3 out of 3 tasks.- In the example, there are 3 tasks.
- If a participant does not click in 1 task and does 1 click in the other two tasks, they completed 3 tasks with less than 2 clicks in each task and are considered a cheater.
-
Cheaters Quality Control is not recommended for Mobile Web or Mobile App studies.
- Most mobile websites and apps do not exclusively work with clicks.
- Mobile websites and apps also work with swipes or other gestures that could not be applicable for this control and could consider participants as cheaters incorrectly.
