Use these steps to customize Variable Names for your exports. |

- Exporting Variable Names allow you to easily identify each question of your study in an exported document.
- By default, Exporting Variable Names are unique codes (C followed by 5 digits).
- Give questions a custom Exporting Variable Name so they are easier to find in the export.
- For your customization to take effect, make these changes before launching your study.
- If you've already collected results before customization, start and stop the study for the changes to take effect.
To customize Variable Names for your exports, follow these steps:
- Go to the Study Builder section of your study.
- Select the question.
- Click Edit.
- In Exporting variable name box , enter the new name. The name of the exported variable has to be an alphanumerical value starting with a letter.
- Click Save.
