About the Raw Data Excel report
- The Raw Data export includes study data organized per participant, presented in tabs for easier analysis.
- Find the following information in the Raw Data report:
- Question by question results (Qualitative data)
- Task results (Quantitative data)
- Card Sort categories per participant for both open and closed Card Sorts (Previously available in the Card Sort Category Description export)
- Clickstreams and Keywords (Previously available in the Clickstreams and Keywords export)
- Intercept URLs (Previously in the Intercept URLs & Referrers export)
Tabs in the export
Task_Definitions
View all tasks from your study and information for each including:
- Task: Number order assigned to each task in your study. For example, T1 = Task 1, T2 = Task 2, QX = QXscore, etc.
- Task Code: The code assigned to the task in UserZoom Manager
- Task Title: That name you've given to the task
- Task Description: The description you've added to the task
- Initial URL: The initial (starting) URL for a Navigation task
Quantitative_Variables
Think of this tab as a road map for all quantitative tasks and questions in your study with this information:
- Variables: Name (alphabetic or numeric) assigned to the task or question by UZ Manager. Use this information to find the task or question on other tabs in the report.
- Task: Number order assigned to each task in UserZoom Manager. For example, T1 = Task 1, T2 = Task 2, etc.
- Task Code: Number identifier assigned to the task in UserZoom Manager.
- Information Type: Study section where information is located. For example, Participant segment, Technology, Questionnaire, Navigation task, Tree test, etc.
- Question Type: Type of question
- Label: All answer possibilities per question and available data points per task to help you map the other tabs in the report
- Values: Answer possibilities with their code to interpret results on the Quantitative_Data tab
Qualitative_Variables
- Available for studies with areas a participant can type a response (For example, Open-ended - Comments box).
- Information included:
- Variables: Number identifier assigned to the question in UserZoom Manager.
- If the Question ID has _C at the end, the question includes a Comment box. For example, if the question ID is C79151 and it has a Comment Box, its ID will be C79151_C.
- If the Question ID has _1 (or other numbers), the question type is Open-ended - One or more lines. For example, if the question ID is C79151 and it has an Open-ended - One or more lines question, its IDs will be Line 1 = C79151_1, Line 2 = C79151_2, etc.
- If the Question ID has _OA at the end, the question includes an Other field as an available answer. For example, if the question ID is C79151 and it has an Other field, its ID will be C79151_OA.
- Task: The task where the question is included
- Task Code: Number identifier assigned to the task in UserZoom Manager
- Information Type: Questionnaire
- Open Ended Type: This can only be one of these: Comments box, Open-ended - Comments box, Open-ended - One or more lines, or Other
- Label: Your question text
- Variables: Number identifier assigned to the question in UserZoom Manager.
Quantitative_Data
- Quantitative data (questions and tasks) in rows, organized per participant.
- Information included:
- UZ_ID: UserZoom Identification number for each participant.
- Status: Participant status in the study.
- Study Time: How long the participant spent in the study in minutes and seconds (MM:SS).
- Start Date: The date and time the participant started the study.
- End Date: The date and time the participant finished the study.
- Segment: Segment the participant belongs to.
- Operating System: Participant operating system.
- Browser: Browser the participant used.
- Screen Resolution: Participant screen resolution.
- Browser Resolution: Participant browser resolution.
- Participant responses based on question or task ID. Refer to the Quantitative_Variables tab information above to understand what each variable corresponds to.
Qualitative_Data
- Responses to qualitative questions in rows organized per participant.
- Information included:
- UZ_ID: UserZoom Identification number for each participant.
- Participant responses are organized by participant ID (rows) and question ID (columns). Refer to the Qualitative_Variables tab information above to understand what each variable corresponds to.
CardSort_Categories
- Available for:
- Open Card Sort
- Closed Card Sort
- Information included:
- Task: Number order assigned to each task in UserZoom Manager. For example, T1 = Task 1, T2 = Task 2, etc.
- UZ_ID: UserZoom Identification number for each participant
- Category:
- Open Card Sort: Category names entered by participants
- Closed Card Sort: Category name you've defined
- Description: The participant's category description provided in Open Card Sorts
- Cards: Cards added to the category
Navigation_Clickstreams
- This tab includes the sequence of URLs visited by participant and task captured by navigation task analytics during navigation tasks.
- This information used to be in the Clickstreams and Keywords export that is no longer available.
- Information included:
- Task: Number order assigned to each task in UserZoom Manager. For example, T1 = Task 1, T2 = Task 2, etc.
- UZ_ID: UserZoom Identification number for each participant
- Sequence: Order by which the participant navigated.
- URL: URLs accessed. The last value per block is the participant's status for the task: Success, Error, Abandon, or Timeout.
- LogTime_UTC: Date and time the participant accessed the URL
Navigation_Keywords
- This tab includes keywords/data entered in any search areas by participant and task captured by navigation task analytics only during navigation tasks.
- This information used to be in the Clickstreams and Keywords export that is no longer available.
- Information included:
- Task: Number order assigned to each task in UserZoom Manager. For example, T1 = Task 1, T2 = Task 2, etc.
- UZ_ID: UserZoom Identification number for each participant
- Sequence: Order the participant searched in the task
- Website: The website where the search is performed
- Keyword: Search term entered (when applicable)
- Effectiveness: This is the participant's effectiveness in the task represented as: S = [Success], A = [Abandon], E = [Error], T = [Timeout]
- LogTime_UTC: Date and time the participant performed the search
Intercept_URLs
- The Intercept_URLs tab is only available for studies that recruit participants using a Site Intercept or Feedback Tab.
- This information used to be in the Intercept URLs & Referrers report that is no longer available.
- This tab includes:
- UZ_ID: UserZoom Identification number for each participant
- InterceptURL: The URL participants were on when they were intercepted or clicked the Feedback Tab.
- RefererURL: The referring URL (The URL participants were on before they were intercepted or clicked the Feedback Tab).
- LogTime_UTC: Date and time the participant was intercepted or clicked the Feedback Tab
