Changing the Language setting on the UserTesting platform

Use these steps to change the Language setting on the UserTesting platform.

About Language settings

  • You must check your web browser settings to experience the UserTesting Platform in English, German, or French.
  • For instance, if your web browser language is set to German, you'll experience the platform in German. If your web browser language is set to English, you'll experience the platform in English. 
  • You’ll find information about the contributor's experience in other languages in this Knowledge Base article.

 

 

Change your settings: Chrome browsers

Locale switching plugin

  1. Add the Locale Switcher extension from the Chrome store.
  2. Click on the Extensions puzzle icon next to the URL bar.
  3. Open the locale extension and select German or French from the dropdown menu.

Changing one language via your browser settings

  1. Go to your Chrome browser settings menu.
  2. Search for Languages.
  3. Click Language > Add Language.
  4. Select any of the German, French, or English options, then click Add.
  5. Make sure your preferred language is listed first (i.e. use “Move to top” to prioritize a specific language)

Note: Other browsers may offer different options for setting language preferences. 

 

 

Exceptions

Some features are not available or are not fully translated into German or French:

Information Architecture

  • These are different test types.
  • If a customer chooses any of these test types (Tree Test, Prioritization Matrix, SUS+), they will default to English.

UserTesting integrations

  • The Settings page is available in English, German, and French.
  • If you click on the integrations and leave the UserTesting application, the experience will switch to English.
