About URL task assets
- A URL asset can be used during your mobile or web test whenever you want the contributor to be taken directly to a new URL.
- This helps streamline the testing experience and ensures contributors can easily follow the test plan when it includes additional URLs.
When to use URL assets
- Useful for testing websites, prototypes, landing pages, and web-based applications.
- Useful for tests that compare multiple alternative designs.
- In comparative tests, the goal is to understand customer preferences and make changes to provide the best experiences.
Examples:
- An existing webpage with newly designed options
- Two or more existing web pages
- A company webpage with competitor web pages
How to launch URL assets
- Create a new website or prototype test and select your audience.
- Set up the test scenario and the starting URL.
- Add tasks and questions to your test plan.
- At the point in the test where the contributor should review a new URL, click and drag the URL asset to your Test plan.
- A Launch URL field will be inserted into your test plan.
- Type in the URL you would like the contributor to review.
- This URL will automatically launch at this point in the test while the contributor is completing the session.
💡Note: Ensure the URL is accessible, provide clear instructions, and use follow-up tasks to collect meaningful insights.
