Create a new highlight reel
Once you have made clips from a recorded video session, follow these steps to create a new highlight reel:
- From the dashboard, select Highlight reels from the navigation menu.
- Create a new highlight reel by clicking the Create reel button.
- Search for your clips by tag, keyword, or test title:
Alternatively, use the filters menu to filter by test title (on your account) or by clip (flagged as "important," "positive," or "negative"). - Drag the clips you have filtered/selected over to the right-hand panel to start building your highlight reel.
Note: Editing a clip's length or annotations will change that clip where it is used, including in other highlight reels. - Arrange the clips by dragging them into your preferred order.
- Click the Options (...) menu to download, remove the clip, or edit the time and notes.
- Click the Preview button to see what the highlight reel looks like when played.
Pro Tip: You can't switch the participant screen to contributor view as the main view if the participant screen was what was clipped in the main recording. If you switch to contributor view in the highlight reel, it won’t save. When you download the highlight reel, it will show the clip that was originally downloaded.
Edit a highlight reel
To edit a highlight reel, follow these steps:
- Click the Options (...) menu of the highlight reel you want to edit and select Edit.
- From the highlight reel creator, you can edit the name, drag new clips into the reel, rearrange clips, or remove clips.
Note: Highlight reels are saved automatically.
Share a highlight reel
To share a highlight reel, follow these steps:
- Click the Options (...) menu of the highlight reel you want to share and select Share. Alternatively, in the highlight reel creator, select the Share button.
- Choose either email, Slack, or another platform.
- Check your share settings (Viewable by). Set to Anyone with a link if the recipient is not on your UserTesting account. Set to Anyone in [Account/Workspace Name] if you only want people on your account to view.
