Schedule a Moderated Session

Use these steps to schedule a Moderated Session.

Schedule a Moderated session: Moderator

  1. In your Moderated study, go to the Recruitment tab.
  2. Click Scheduler from the left menu.
  3. Select how long the session will last:
    • 30 minutes
    • 45 minutes
    • 60 minutes
    • 90 minutes
  4. Choose how much time you'd like between sessions:
    • None
    • 15 minutes
    • 30 minutes
    • 60 minutes
  5. Under Advanced Options, you can select:
    • Max sessions per day:
      • Unlimited
      • Minimum: 1
      • Maximum: 6
    • Minimum booking notice:
      • 1 hour
      • 2 hours
      • 4 hours
      • 24 hours
      • 48 hours
    • Session start:
      • On the quarter hour
      • On the half hour
      • On the hour
  6. Click View Calendar. The calendar appears above the session settings.
  7. To schedule a time:
    • Click a slot in the calendar to add a single session.
      OR
    • Click and drag in the day column from your start time to your end time.
  8. In the pop-up box:
    • Adjust the time selection
    • Choose apply this selection to just this day or to other selected dates.
  9. Click Add.
  10. Now you can invite participants.

How can I conduct an unscheduled session?

When you run a Scheduled Moderated study, and you'd like a participant to join directly without going through a Screener (if there is one) and the Scheduler, follow these steps to get a link for them:

 

Studies created before April 22, 2021

  1. Within your study, go to Recruitment > Scheduler.
  2. Click Start unscheduled session.
  3. In the modal window:
    1. Select a segment.
    2. Click Copy Link. This option gives you a unique link each time.
  4. Send this link to the participant. 

 

Studies created after April 22, 2021

  1. Click the Study Links button in the top nav or on the Monitor page.
  2. Copy the Session link. This link can be used by multiple participants.
  3. Send the link to your participant. 

 

 

View and manage a list of completed and upcoming sessions

  • Today and the current time is marked with a red line.
  • The line appears above the session when it's ready to start.
  • Start or cancel sessions by hovering over an upcoming session.
  • You can't edit your availability from the List view. To do so, go back to the Week view.
