About Rating Scale question results
- The Results section of your study contains the data for these Rating Scale question types:
- Results are available in both charts and tables.
Rating scale – One Answer (Horizontal) questions
Chart
- View the number of participants who selected each rating point.
- For a clearer visualization, each rating point is shown in a different color.
- Below the chart, find the legend with the correspondence between rating points and colors.
Table
- View the percentages and the number of participants (in parentheses) who selected each rating point.
- There is also a column on the right showing the mean (not available for custom scales).

- Below the chart, you can see the relation between the colors and the rating points.

- The mean for each row.
- The total number of participants who responded.
Rating scale – Net Promoter Score (NPS) questions
What is Net Promoter Score (NPS)?

Depending on the rating given, participants fall into one of the following groups:
- Promoters (9-10): Loyal enthusiasts who will stay with your company and refer others.
- Passives (7-8): Satisfied but unenthusiastic customers who are vulnerable to competitive offerings.
- Detractors (0-6): Unhappy customers who have the potential to damage your brand and impede growth through negative word-of-mouth.
- The NPS score is calculated following the below formula:
% of Promoters - % of Detractors = Net Promoter Score. - To show whole numbers, the percentages of Detractors, Passives, and Promoters are rounded to the nearest whole number.
