About the Welcome Page

  • The Welcome Page is the first screen participants see when they enter a study.
  • If your study has a Screener, the Welcome Page is shown after participants pass the Screener.
  • The purpose is to give participants an overview of what the study is about and what to expect.
  • For desktop studies, installation of the UserZoom extension comes after this page.
  • For mobile studies, installation of the UserZoom Surveys app comes before the Welcome page.
  • A best practice is to include:
  • In most study types, if the Welcome page is empty, it is not be shown to participants.
  • In Basic Usability Test & Advanced UX Research studies:
    • The Welcome Page is shown even when it's empty.
    • If the Legal Consent Request Page is disabled:
      • The UserZoom Terms of Use and Privacy Policy is shown on the Welcome Page instead of on the Legal Consent Request page.
      • The button on the Welcome Page is labeled Agree & Continue instead of Start Study.
