About instant insight
-
Purpose: Instant insight is designed to help you quickly identify and understand key findings from your tests by automatically surfacing patterns, trends, and anomalies.
-
Availability: This feature is available on the Ultimate subscription plan of the UserTesting platform.
-
Use Cases: Ideal for efficiently analyzing test results, identifying user behavior patterns, and sharing key takeaways with stakeholders.
How it works
- Ensure your test includes task-based or verbal questions for web-based experiences (e.g., desktop web, mobile web, or web-based prototypes).
- After test completion, navigate to the Metrics tab to view instant insight cards summarizing key findings.
- Insights are prioritized based on the strength of findings, such as the number of contributors exhibiting specific behaviors or sentiments.
- Clicking on an instant insight card directs you to the related task metrics for deeper exploration.
- You can customize intent labels within the Interactive Path Flow to align with your organization's terminology, aiding in more intuitive analysis.
Sharing instant insight findings
- Share insights by copying and pasting them into reports or presentations for your team.
- Use the Share button to generate a link for team members, noting that this shares the entire test, not just the Instant Insights.
- Consider taking screenshots of instant insight visualizations to include in your reports or discussions.
To share Instant Insight findings, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your completed test.
- Click on the Share option to generate a shareable link or to email team members directly.
- For specific insights, copy the content or take screenshots to include in your reports.
