Editing screener questions
- If you need to edit your screener questions, you can do so by clicking the Edit screener link on the Session tab when looking at your test details.
- Add, remove, or edit any of your existing screener questions based on the screener guidance which shows pass rates for each of your screeners.
- As needed, refer to the Screener tips for guidance. If you need additional help, refer to our article on screener guidance.
- When you're happy with your questions, select Update to save any changes made.
Editing tasks and questions
- If you want to change the tasks and questions in your test, select the test you wish to edit.
- Then, choose the Actions button and select Edit test details from the drop-down menu. This will take you to a new page.
- Select Edit test details, and you'll be directed to the Test plan page.
- From here, you can edit your starting instructions, such as the starting URL (if applicable) or the scenario you want to present to contributors.
- Next, you can edit any of your tasks or questions. If you need to add/remove a task or change the order of your tasks, we advise creating a duplicate test instead of editing the live test.
- The Metrics tab and export may show inaccurately if a task is added/removed or changes type. Minor word updates are fine; however, adding or removing a task may cause the Metrics tab to show the information inaccurately.
Keep in mind:
- You cannot edit filters after launching a test. If you need to edit your target audience, make a copy of the test with the new filters and then launch the copied test.
- Task groups can't be added after you've launched your test.
- Image assets are not available to add or edit after the test has been launched. To add or edit an image asset, use the Duplicate option.
- It's not possible to add native video and audio testing (beta) to a launched test (it works the same as image tasks). In these cases, duplicate the test.
Editing demographic filters
- If you find you need to edit your demographic filters but you've already launched your test, then it's recommended that you cancel any pending sessions.
- Make a copy of your test and update your filters.
- Then, relaunch the test.
Best practice for editing a test after launch
- When you edit your test, any contributor currently taking it will continue to see the published version.
- Once you save the edits, the next person attempting your screener questions or starting your test will see the edited version.
- You should note those sessions that used the earlier version of the test.
