What is a prompt in Insights Hub?

  • A prompt is the question you ask in the Insights Discovery search bar.
  • The AI scans your studies, notes, and transcripts to summarize patterns and themes related to your prompt.
  • Example: “What are common frustrations in our mobile checkout experience?”

Tips for writing effective prompts

Do

  • Be specific about your topic or objective.
  • Example: “What do users find confusing about the profile setup process?”
  • Include context when possible (e.g., feature name, study type, or timeframe).
  • Ask one question at a time for clearer and more accurate results.
  • Use action-oriented or analytical verbs: “compare,” “summarize,” “identify,” “explain.”

Avoid

  • Broad or vague prompts like “What do users think?”
  • Combining multiple ideas in one question.
  • Using internal team shorthand or unclear acronyms not present in the study data.

Refine a prompt

  1. Start broad (“What do users say about onboarding?”)
  2. Then narrow based on results. (“What specific issues did users mention about setting up notifications during onboarding?”)
  3. Add context (“What do users say about onboarding on the mobile app?”).
  4. Rephrase if the AI’s answer feels off-topic or incomplete.
  5. Use the “sample questions” at the bottom of Insights Discovery as a starting point.
