About excluding participants
- Excluded participants are not deleted and can be included again later on.
- Excluded participants appear crossed out and in red.
- Show this participant only or Hide this participant options in Ratios & Responses appear when clicking on a chart or table to apply a filter, but do not exclude or include participants.
- IntelliZoom participants with poor responses can be excluded from your analysis to not impact your data. For example:
- Lackluster task attempts
- Rude or offensive behavior or answers (Please escalate these to your account team)
- Inaudible Think-out-loud recordings
- For IntelliZoom segments, excluding a participant removes them from your study.
- If your study is live, the excluded participant will be automatically replaced.
- If a participant is excluded while the study is offline, they will not be replaced until you make the study live again.
- For Recruit Your Own segments, after excluding participants, make your study live and continue recruiting
Smart Data Quality Engine
- The Smart Data Quality Engine is our next step in ensuring quality Results data.
- The Engine saves you time by automatically excluding participants that experience challenges with their navigation task recordings. For example:
- Drops in connectivity
- Lost video recordings
- Server-side issues
- This means that you should only receive complete participant recordings in your study’s Results section, and spend less time replacing participants with poor quality video recordings.
- This isn’t the end of the road, either! We’ll continue to make our Smart Data Quality Engine smarter in future releases so you can be even more confident in the quality of your Results data.
Auto-excluded participants
- Auto-excluded participants show:
- In the Participants List in red, with a line through them
- As Complete (Auto-Excluded) in the Status column
- Auto-excluded participants do not impact your credit balance.
- What's in it for you?
- Complete, usable data without wading through incomplete results
- Less time cleaning data means more time reviewing data
