About demographic data
Demographic information shown on the Monitor page reflects a snapshot of the participant’s profile at the time the test was taken. This ensures historical accuracy when reviewing results.
What this means
- Demographics are tied to the specific session.
- If a participant updates their profile later, those changes will not update past sessions.
- Each test captures demographic data as it existed when the participant completed the test.
When demographic information may not be available
In some cases, demographic data may not appear in the session view. This may occur when:
- You use Sourcing Your Own (SYO) participants.
- Participants are recruited through a custom sourcing provider.
When participants are not sourced from the UserTesting Network, demographic information may not be collected or available for display. If demographic targeting is important for your study, consider using network participants and defining audience criteria during test setup.
View screener responses
If your test includes screener questions, participant responses are available in the session view. This allows you to:
- Confirm that participants met qualification criteria.
- Review how participants answered screening questions.
- Audit screener effectiveness after sessions are completed.
Screener responses reflect the answers provided during the qualification process.
