About the UserZoom extension and app
For participants to access a study with the extension or mobile app is required, they have to download and install to continue.
UserZoom Surveys Extension and App
- The extension allows UserZoom to track and record participant behavior during the study and is disabled automatically when they complete the study.
- Participants are prompted to download the UserZoom Surveys extension or app when:
- The study has Navigation tasks (Moderated and Unmoderated Desktop studies)
- Recording is enabled (Unmoderated Desktop studies)
- Advanced UX Research or Basic Usability Tests (Unmoderated Mobile studies)
- When conducting Unmoderated testing with an app that has the SDK integrated, your app is all participants need to take the study, and no other downloads are necessary.

UserZoom Live App
- The UserZoom Live App allows users to participate in Moderated studies using their mobile device.
- With the app they can to join the session with the moderator and talk to them using the device microphone and camera.
- Participants can also share their whole screen when testing prototypes, live websites or mobile apps.
