Pre-launch activities
- Before launching a study, we strongly recommend testing it to verify it behaves as intended.

A Soft Launch is also recommended.
- This entails launching the live study to a very small number of participants.
- Using these results, you can confirm your study is working properly
- You can then increase the quota of this segment to the number of participants you need.
- Check if there are available live study slots for your account so you can launch your study.
Launch a study
- Go to the Monitor section of your study.
- Click Launch to participants
at the top right.
- Make sure the relevant segments are also active.
- If you notice errors in your study after having collected data, refer to this article to see if you can make edits.
Stop a study manually
- All studies are stopped automatically when they reach either the quota of the segments or the Screener Groups, whichever is reached first.
- When the study reaches your quota it closes and you receive an email.
- If you would like to stop your study manually you have two options.
Stop a study for all participants
- Go to the Monitor section of your study.
- Click Stop study
.
- In the modal window, choose NO. Stop it for everybody.
- Optionally, use the WYSIWYG editor to customize the message active participants see telling them that the study is closed.
- Click Turn Offline
.
Stop a study only for new participants
When you stop the study for new participants:
- Active participants who started the study, but have not yet finished it, can still complete the study.
- The study stays live for a while and an estimated closing time countdown is shown in the Monitor area on the left.
To stop a study only for new participants, follow these steps:
- Go to the Monitor section of your study.
- Click Stop study
.
- In the modal window, check YES. Let them finish.
- Click Turn Offline
.
Set a study to stop at a specific date & time
✅ Plan Availability: Corporate, Essentials, Professional, International, and Premium
When the study reaches your quota or specific date and time it closes and you receive an email.
- Go to the Study Builder section of your study.
- Click the Settings icon
in the left menu.
- Go to the Cutoff Date & Time section.
- Check the Set a cutoff date and time option.
- Enter the date and time to stop the study.
- Click Save in the top right.
