  2. Choose New audience:
  3. Name your audience.
  4. Choose which audience you want to test with:
    • UserTesting Network: You’ll be directed to choose how many participants are needed and to toggle on demographic filters to apply.
Note: Bonus payments cannot be promised or issued.
    • Invite via link: You’ll choose how many participants are needed and copy the Invite link or send a QR code.

Optional steps

  • Select your target criteria with demographic filters.
  • Add screener questions to recruit a particular audience.
  • You can have multiple audiences in a test, including both UserTesting Network and your own participants, with the Invite via link option.

Confidentiality terms

  • Participant data needs to be protected, with region-specific laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) now commonplace.
  • These laws mean it’s mandatory to ask participants for their explicit consent if you’re collecting any personal information (for example, their name or email).
  • A default template with generic data privacy text is included. You can edit or delete this text and add secure URLs linking to your own terms. Links open in a new tab for participants.
