Add an image task
- Go to Test builder, then click the +Add button the left.
- Select Image under Media type.
- Alter the default Instruction text, if necessary.
- Click Upload image and choose your image file.
Note: The file size can not exceed 5MB; the only supported file types are JPEG, PNG, and GIF. - Add Alt Text if you anticipate that a screen reader might need to read the image.
Image tasks are available within Question pages and can be uploaded in the following ways:
Option 1: Start with an image
- When you select Image from the Media section in the test builder, it will automatically create a new Question Page.
- The image will be positioned as the first task on that page, and you can continue adding follow-up questions below it.
Option 2: Add an Image to an Empty Question page
- If you create a new Question page without any tasks, you'll see an “Empty” state.
- From there, you can choose to upload an Image, which behaves the same as Option 1, the image becomes the first task in that Question Page.
Option 3: Add an Image to an Existing Question page
- If you’ve already added other tasks to a Question page, you can still insert an Image Task.
- Simply use the dropdown menu (available at the bottom of the Question Page or when inserting a new task) and select Image.
Review and preview
- The Review tab lets you view the image you uploaded and any questions associated with the survey.
- This tab also lets you preview the participant view.
- Once the survey is launched, the option to edit is unavailable.
