At a GlanceUserTesting supports many different prototyping tools, such as InVision and others. Using Invision as a tool is helpful to easily create mockups. This article provides steps on how to set up your test and share your settings. |
InVision is a prototyping tool that allows you to quickly and easily create clickable, interactive mockups. Just upload your designs or static images to InVision to turn them into working prototypes complete with gestures, transitions, and animations.
Once you've uploaded your image(s), you'll receive a URL for a high fidelity prototype which you can then share with test contributors in a UserTesting study.
Setting Up Your Test
1. Select Create test, then Create a test.
2. Select Prototype.
You can select test contributors from our network or your own.
3. Add your audience.
Choose the demographics and filters you need.
Contributors will need to download the InVision app. Let the test contributors opt-in to this experience by adding a screener question letting them know they'll need to download an app.
4. Build your test plan.
First, you'll want to select the native browser requirement. Then, you can provide the URL to your prototype within a task. By doing so, the contributor's phone will automatically open the prototype link in the app. Add additional tasks as needed, including any instructions needed to ensure they've downloaded the InVision app.
5. Launch test.
How to Set Up Share Settings
There are some simple steps we recommend taking if you are using InVision to create your prototypes. These adjustments must be made BEFORE extracting the sharing link, as these settings often affect the URL of the prototype.
